The theme for Saturdays gathering was "Mourning for Civil Liberties" and funeral attire with props such as tombstones and coffins recommended. The turnout was good, at least a hundred people, mostly dressed in black and very lively. After meeting at Civic Center Park and talking over the issues (especially the loss of basic rights called for in the constitution) the crowd proceeded down the 16th Street Mall and over to the US Courthouse for more speeches. On the way back up the mall some young people broke into dancing and when the group got back to Colfax Avenue and Broadway the street was turned into a whirling dervish of dancing. A good time was had by all!
