This is the first of a two part series of photos taken by the editors of FOL during the Democratic Convention on Tuesday August 26th. This segment is from the 16th Street Mall in Denver where the attendees congregated. It was quite a different scene from the second segment taken at the Civic Center Park, a few short blocks away where the protesting happened!
Note: For those who don't know - the 16th Street mall is an open street without cars in the center of Denver. It has environmentally sensitive buses, many restaurants and businesses and is very pleasant on a sunny day. This is the place to go during an event such as this to people watch or just hang out.
We started shooting around 9:30 after a ride into the city on the Light Rail and left shortly around 11 AM to walk over to Civic Center Park.
